Hey i jsut recent got a banana plant, i was wondering if anyone else has this plant? Also, im not really sure how to plant this thing since it has only a couple of i guess roots, not the banana looking part but actual long rootish growths. Currently its just sitting at the bottom of my tanks.
Just set it where you want it to go, the banana looking roots should be above the substrate. If left alone it will grow normal roots into the gravel. Rather than have the stringy roots die and rot, I think you should cut them off, it will grow new ones.
i had this plant once before my silver dollars ate it it needs to sit ON the substrate and can be hard to keep down until it begins to grow
