Cool Baby Tears Failure T_T

i have a 10 gallon tank, with black flourite sand and 30 watts. Micro sword, baby tears, and java moss with 3 small platys. i have maylasion trumpet snails in the tank to help stir the sand. I noticed that the mircro sword is growing greately but is getting brown spots on it. the baby tears is actually turning brown and isnt growing much at all except on some stems. I dose the tank 24 hours after a 30% water change that is done once a week. What could be the problem? i also noticed a dead cherry shrimp in the tank.

THANKS ^_^

Hit me up Baby

What are you dosing the plants with?
What's your lighting setup?
What's the PH?

The lighting is 6500 kelvins. 2 compact flourescent lightbulbs, 15 watts each. And I dose. 8 drops of seachem flourish once a week. Lights are on about 6 hourse a day

baby tears are a pretty high demand plant

First we need water stats, which will say a lot. You probably have nutrient issues. I highly recommend co2 with this plant, DIY method should do good on a 10gal. You will probably need more ferts and a longer light period. However I can't say for sure till I know your water stats.

.... I'm probably drunk.

This is how I lurk

+1 on the water para's
But on a side note I grow mine w/out co2 injection (nor use of Excel for that matter). My first guess reading this w/out knowing all facts just yet is your light duration being too short.
