Attaching anubias to wood

At the suggestion of Angel079, I moved my new anubias up to the driftwood in my tank. I tried tying it on with string but couldn't get a tight fit without pulling the DW out of the tank, and a rubberband kept coming off at least once each day. So today I trimmed off the majority of the roots and wedged it into a crack on the wood. I'm assuming this will work fine as well correct? I just hope I didn't chop off too much root!

Ahhh everything's always my fault ain't it
Just for the record I didn't say nothing but clipping roots thou but it'll regrow; I had to do it once remodeling a tank and it came back & rapped around the DW just fine

Ohh it's definitely not your fault!! I only clipped the roots back from some other hort. sites I've read. Thanks for the info yet again, hopefully that darn plant stays put this time! :)

Plant looks fine to me. Roots will regrow. If the wedging does not work then drain your tank below where you want the plant and staple the rhizome to the wood. By the time the staple rusts the roots should be attached.
