The tank is a little over 2 months now with 5 zebra danios, 5 albino corycats and 3 platies.
How hard is your tap water? This can be an important source of calcium, magnesium and sulphur. Trace metals (iron, copper, zinc, manganese, nickel) may also occur but a water conditioner that detoxifies heavy metals will detoxify these. Other nutrients come from the breakdown of organics in the substrate, so don't vacuum the substrate ever. Crypts esp will benefit from this.
Depending upon the afore-mentioned, you might be OK without, but a good liquid is Seachem's Flourish Comprehensive. You use so little it is long-term not expensive. Once a week a 1/2 teaspoon is sufficient.
