I have a betta in a 2 gallon bowl- I put a couple of aquarium plants in there, and they've been in there for nearly a month now. They are still green, but seem to be kind of droopy, but still okay.

How long can you keep aquarium plants in a bowl? How can I care for the plants so they'll last longer?

My adivce to you would first of all to get a bigger bowl/tank. IMO plants thrive more in more open areas where they have space to grow, much like any fish you would have in an aquarium.

Water plants are not as hardy as normal outdoors plants, and are quite fragile, depending on the species of plant. Try not to handle it too much as it will break the stems, and this sometimes causes droopiness...
(Maybe i'm wrong, but this seems the obvious answer to me.)
