I'd love to, but dont have a sunny window (we get rain, and more rain) and my camera kinda sucks.
I'd love to try it though.

Anyone can participate who has a lit area suitable for plants, but for actual data I need a way to record it.

Aquarium
As long as it's after the New Year count me in. I have window sills facing west, south and east. Take your pick.

The amount of light doesn't really matter, only that the speciments get equal light. (does need to be enough to grow plants though. )

Substrate doesn't matter, as long as its the same in all the containers.

So what exactly is the experiment?

maintain Fw and marine system with a strong emphasis on balanced, stabilized system that as much as possible are self substaning.

have maintained FW systems for up to 9 years with descendants from original fish and marine aquariums for up to 8 years.

With no water changes, untreated tap water, inexpensive lighting by first starting the tank with live plants (FW) or macro algae( marine)

I have a feeling that this experiment to profoundly affect the aquarium industry forever will just prove something we all used to know 40 years ago.

but then what do I know.

Is everyone else ready, or need more time to settle down from the holidays?
Prefer email or pm's?

Who has a scale/camera already?
