I never have. Most of my planted tanks are using EcoComplete for plants. Others are using aquarium gravel mixed with laterite. I an experiencing excellent results with both options. No complaints whatsoever. The new tank, The FishForum Special, a 210g planted tank still under construction (The project was put on hold through the holidays.) is using EcoComplete. I enjoy the fact that it is already mixed and the convenience is appreciated. The price (I order it from www.petsolutions.com) is very affordable.

Does eco-complete ever break down? I mean into dirt/mud, or does it stay gravel?
