Like me you are in Canada, so probably under $10 for the API pH test kit. Just get the plain normal range kit, they also have one (more expensive) that includes pH adjusting chemicals that should not be used. The plain test kit is it. pH is the only thing I bother testing, once tanks are established, other than nitrate now and then.
