The anacharis is also known as the Brazillian Waterweed. (I think anacharis sounds better, though. lol)
I think that plant at the petstores don't always have their roots, because Brie got one that later grew roots. I think they take cuttings of plants and sell them before they actually have a change to grow. The Anacharis does have roots. It will probably grow some once it's in your substrate. It is pretty easy to grow.
