No luck in the goldfish tank the anacharis was one big salad bar - so I threw some in the betta tank and it didn't grow there either (might be a lighting issue there) but now I have snails in the betta tank - none in the goldfish tank (but they might have eaten them).
Ugh! Back to the drawing board for my plants/fish....
well its been about 2.5 weeks - and the stems turned to brown mush - that disintegrated and made a HUGE mess in my tank. There was NO green left at all...
Goldfish being plant eaters, it would be best to try something like Java Fern. You attach it to rocks or wood (not in the substrate). I've never heard of any fish that will eat JF. And it does fine in room temperatures; I had it grow like mad in my amphibian vivarium (under the water) for years. Doesn't need much light either.
I agree about the JF, would try hornwort (ceratophyllum submersum, not demersum) and maybe anubias.
