acclimating newly arrived plants

hi,

I just received some live plants I bought online. They came in plastic bags but not in water. They look like they are ok with strong roots.

Do I just plant them in the tank right away or am I supposed to acclimate them in some fashion? Also 2 came in little pots.. do I bury the pots in the substrate or do they stay on top?

There's no need to acclimate plants. I always plant them immediately.

As for the pots, you need to remove them from the pots and plant them in the substrate.
I use scissors and cut the pot off, and then pull off as much of the gray material as I can. Then plant.
