This might give you some ideas about having a Discus aquarium.
Ive placed a link to a video on YouTube showing our Discus showroom Aquarium.
It has been running like this for 4 years with no problems whatsoever.
This is a professional aquarium, with a fully computerized management system so don't expect the same effect in a household set up, but you might get some ideas by looking at the Video.
