actually I cheat myself i let my lights on for a very long time ... because i want to enjoy my tank at night, so i got my lights on 6 am to 9:00 pm 15 hours of light but ! I have absolutely no algae aside from my anubias thats has a little ... but hey whos anubias dosent =P hehe
you can see my tank if you click on aquarium under my name on the left! that is a pucture of it with no scrapping for a month I have only done water changes! :) and added nutrients!(and i use yeast diy co2)

Just a friendly reminder to never release anything that has been in your tank or pond back into the wild. The ramifications could be staggering.
