Yeah, I had mixed feelings about adding the media but at this store, the tanks all looked great, the fish looked healthy and the owner seemed truly knowledgeable. Especially in comparison to the other 3 stores I had been to. This guy has been in business for over 30 years so I take that as a good sign.

I won't be adding fish for a little while yet but when I do, I will be going to that guy. He didn't try to talk me into buying anything. In fact, when I asked questions about things he would say, "you don't need that" which I give him all the world of credit. He just gained a customer by not trying to sell me a bunch of crap I didn't need.

I had to look up some of the fish you mentioned for your tank. I don't automatically get a picture in my head of they type of fish when mentioned but I am learning some. I really like the look of the glass catfish, that is really unique. I was also thinking of the possibility of getting some gourami fish or maybe a Texas Cichlid. I am still in the early stages and not in a hurry to fill the tank. I will wait until I find that fish that calls to me the loudest. :)
