I knew it wasn't how many fish would physically fit in the tank...I guess I never should have used the word "cram"
I was only thinking about the skunk cories since they are the smallest availablle locally, and I didn't want the pygmies to be lonely. But then, a couple of my pygmies think they are neon tetras, swimming in their little group for a bit before hanging out at the bottom. And the neons seem to want to be cories, as they are most often found near the bottom.
So if the skunks are a bad idea, how about trying to add pygmies to get them to a shoaling number? It'll cost me and arm and a leg for shipping, but if that is my best option I'll do it.
