Fish are not experiments, these are living creatures that need care and appropriate conditions.

If you want a tank full of dead fish.. go right ahead. It's your tank and your money. Byron has more knowlege than anyone on this board. He is just giving you his honest opinion.

An opinion with no facts to back it up. Or any suggestions.

Your the one asking all the questions, will this work, will that work. Then someone tells you and you're the one who acts like the expert.. lol. Try google if you don't like information we give you.

We can't always create the tank of our dreams. We can come close to it if we do our research. The fish profiles provided here are very informative and meant to help us. What is your overall goal ? If it is an aggressive tank, you need to have fish of the same size and temperament. Tiger barbs have a nasty reputation, but they are no match for a big mean cichlid. Is it appearance or behavior that you are seeking to achieve ?

Appearance. I saw how large tiger barbs get and really like their look. Id like to have a school of fish, some loaches, my cutteri, and either another medium sized cichlid.

Your tank isn't big at all. Even beginners such as myself know that it couldn't support the stock you're asking for.

Edited by Redchigh. You shouldn't need to ask why.
