Will I be overstocked?

Tomorrow I'm picking up my new 30 gallons tank! I still need to cycle it but using my 10g's filter stuff and water it won't take long. I have been trying to come up with a stocking, and I'd like your input on this:

6 corydoras trilineus

1 honey gourami
5 diamond tetras

3 guppies

I use peat in my filter to soften the water and my ph is at 7, so I think it's suitable for everyone...so what do you think? Overstocked? Juuusssss fine?

You are fine. You could probably add more tetras, too. They would look really cool in a group of 8-10, which your tank can handle.

I have to disagree with Cody, your at your max capacity with all the fish listed...........Diamond Tetras can get 3 inches along with the cories, if you go by the 1 inch per gallon rule your already over the limit, not to mention the gourami and guppies, lucky for you, most of your fish have a very small bio-load..........I would be worried about swimming room when they reach adulthood

almost everywhere I checked they said diamond grow to a max size of 2,5 inches :/ the tank is actually a 33 g with 36 inches of swimming lenght, I thought it would be enough. I could still settle for smaller tetras!

the diamonds i had years ago were 3 inches at adulthood, larger than the other tetras i had them in with........You could look into rasboras, most of them wont grow past 2 inches and they are very docile, happy fish

It it was my tank (and it's not) and my heart was set on the diamonds I'd get them. You've got 36" of swimming room and nearly half of your tank's occupants are bottom dwellers. The inch per gallon rule is a basic guideline. In addition to potential adult size the water strata each species occupies should be taken into account. I think you've got the room for a larger school of diamonds than 5. They are a beautiful fish and would look awesome in a larger school.

The 1" of fish per gallon thing isn't a rule, or even a good suggestion.

In terms of bioload you're probably fine. Swimming room, you're probably ok but you'd be on the lower end for an active 2.5 to 3" fish.

Mhm...then may I ask, how many neons or cardinals do you think I could fit in there? After diamond, and emperor tetras (impossible to find here), they are my favorite.
