white tufts on filter sponge - Tropical Fish Keeping - Aquarium fish care and resources

Cool white tufts on filter sponge

The white bio filter in the filter(the white thing that your not supposed to throw away) ihas these white tufts on it. Looks like fungus of something. What should i do?


cant really tell in the pic but this is the sponge im talking about

No drift wood and I have 2 ghost shrimp and many Malaysian trumpet snails. It looks white an furry

Nah. It's too much and too little to be that. Plus it's fuzzy looking.
