Question White stuff growing....help!

55 gallon tank - up and running now for 2 weeks, cycled, and everyone inside is happy!

I got all of the plants/decorations from a friend's tank (so it had ALL been in a tank prior to my receiving it). A piece of driftwood is now growing this white fuzzy, flowy-looking stuff on the underside. Should I remove it? Be concerned? Any thoughts/suggestions are appreciated!

Try boiling the wood if you havent already. Be sure white fuzzy growth is not uneaten food laying under the wood which could be source of unwanted ammonia.

The most important medication in your fish medicine cabinet is.. Clean water.
