What is your favorite tank setup?

Hey, I was just curious about what everyone's favorite tank setup (out of your own tanks) is. You know, everyone makes mistakes, figures out which fish they like best, takes a liking to certain setups or equipment, so share your favorites here . Pictures would be cool too, but if you don't have any no worries .

As for me, my favorite fish are bettas. None of my setups are really complete though....so I'll have to wait and see. Those guppies need to get OUT of my QT tank.....

My two favorite tanks are the 29g community and the Jack Dempsey tank, but for different reasons. The Dempsey tank has a very nice looking piece of driftwood and play sand substrate, but all of the plants are fake. It's a decent looking tank but nothing special. I just like it because the fish in it is so cool.

My best looking tank is the community one, though. It also has play sand for substrate. The front is a large open area for swimming with a piece of driftwood about the size of a large man's hand with the fingers sprawled on the left, with java fern attached to it. On the right is a fake grassy plant. The back wall of the tank has this reddish brown slate stacked sort of haphazardly to form a network of caves. The kuhli loaches spend most of their time in there; it's cool to seem them poke out from the various caves. The male krib in the tank also lives in these rocks, for the most part. On top of the rocks is what has become a huge bushy nest of java moss, maybe 4 inches thick and running 2/3rds the length of the tank along the top of the rocks. My German blue ram hangs out in there most of the time. The back corners of the tank have air stones behind the rocks for a bubbling effect. The left back corner also has an oak twig that looks like a dead tree; I might put some of the java moss in the branches to complete the effect. The bloodfin tetras swim out front, and the golden wonder killifish swims around the top of the tank.

Actually, writing this post inspired me to go tear off some of that moss and put it in the "tree".

My favorites are the Ameca Splendens species only tank and the Xiphophorus Helleri species only tank. Both are planted and the fish in them are doing well. My next favorite would be the Heterandria Formosa tank that also has C. Pygmaeus in it.

I'm simple, I like my community tank. Other approaches have their merits but I still like a peaceful community tank full of colorful fish.

My favorite is 80 gal discus tank, one and a half inches of gravel, large round river stones, large piece of driftwood, and some tall artificial plants along the back glass with space for fish to swim behind. Five discus, six julii corydoras, ten newly aquired threadfin rainbows, and one whitespot pleco. Two emperor 400's for filtration combined with ceramic media. 400 watt heater.

I only have two tanks. I love my 100Gal community- planted, lots of driftwood and black sand. All my favorite fish..yoyo & clown loaches, Denison barbs, a trio of rams, some otos, a bristlenose & a pictus.

However, at water change time my betta tank becomes my favorite. The betta tank is a 6Gal planted w/ black sand & driftwood, one awesome betta and some otos.

The third tank I will be setting up tomorrow is a Christmas present from me to me! Another 6gal betta tank only this time I'm going with a betta, pygmy cories and white sand, planted.

A 200gal is on the horizon...as soon as the clowns reach 6". Not sure yet on who will be the clowns tankmates. Congo tetras & a large school of ???

My favorite is my 46 Gallon bowfront Cichlid tank...they're always entertaining to watch and the Oscars especially have personality's like a dog, which I don't get with the fish in the 10G or 1G...

oh and the comet goldfish was removed yesterday...just to clear somethings up
