what is this stuff?

I set up a brand new tank. After about a week I noticed this stuff collecting by the airstone at the bottom of my undergravel filter. Its hard to see because its almost transparent. To me it kind of looks like spider webs.

Could it be fungus? (white and almost 'furry')

I'm not sure. Id post a picture but its so transparent it doesn't show up in a pic. It reminds me of hair algae but has no color and has attached to the air stones. It blows with the current of the air inside of the tubes.
