what is this strange impostor in my filter..video

Well, tonight I am doing some maintenance and I take out my large particle filter pad and notice something moving.....

I took it into the kitchen to investigate and found this white bodied newt like thing with legs and eyes. Not sure if its some kind larvae or something?? It can't be a little fish, its got legs..

I will try and post the video I took of it whilst investigation the beast, although I am not sure how you do it.. if it doesn't work then it'll just be a link.

Please can someone help me out with this thing, is it gonna cause me problems, or is it just a one off hitch hiker?

cheers

squish it unless you want a new pet.
hitch hicker larvea from a dragon fly think ?

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

It looks like a nymph of some kind, Damselfly, dragonfly or similar.
Quite deadly and voracious hunters.

That thing was just hideous along with your filter pad! What kind of filter did that come out of? How close do you have the intake to the substrate? And I thought my pads were pad when I cleaned them.
