Question what size should my hosipital/ quarintine tank be? for cichlids?

ok so i have a 55 gallon main tank that is empty but i am going to get fish and i am wondering what size quarantine tank i should get i was thinking 10 gallons since its just for transitioning and i only buy 2 fish at a time anyways..... or maybe i should go 15 or 20long...

id go with a 20 regular. a 40 breeder is even better but a 20 would suffice. a long isn't really suitable for "all fish"

I use a 15, but a 10 would work too IMO.

.... I'm probably drunk.

I would use a 20 long. A longer tank is better for cichlids IMO....more territory, even if it is for just a few weeks.

150 Gallon - Mostly American Cichlids
135 Gallon - Angelfish Community
75 Gallon - Odd couple (Polleni/Angelfish)
55 Gallon - African tank
20 Gallon Long - QT
10 Gallon - Empty

Use dividers if necessary. Q-tanks are meant mainly to protect fish you have already bough and save costs of treating the main tank for disease. Hence I usually stick to the smaller side. No reason to treat 20 gallons of water when I can treat 10.
