what should i get with my zebra danios?

I want to try out some new fish in my tank...right now i currently have 5 zebra danios and about 6 guppies in my 20g tank...they have been living together for a very long time now and i think it's time for a change...i'm moving my guppies over to another guppy tank and am considering another type of fish to put in with the danios.
I was thinking of getting a pair of golden wonder killifish but i'm not sure if they would work well together because they are both mainly at the top.
my tank has a higher ph and is hard water, i wanted to get tetras but i don't really know any that would work well in my aquarium...any fish suggestions would be nice...

What is the ph and the hardness in the tank? If you have not found the fish profiles here, that would be a good place to start to get more information on different fish. The link for the tropical fish profiles can be found at the top of the page second tap from the left. Also is the tank a 20 gallon long or high, that will make a difference of what type of fish will work with your setup.

With active swimmers like danio, you need similar active fish. Slow, sedate fish can be annoyed by active fish around them, and this means stress.

There are some other danio (check the profiles under Cyprinids), and some of the characins (tetra) would work like the Pristella Tetra. Substrate fish can be interesting for the lower level.

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If youíre going to take it under your wing then youíre responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]
