I would say 2 AC 70's. You can adjust the current flow with AquaClears so it won't be as bad. I like having a backup filter in case I need to quarantine anyone. If I do, I just take one of my filters off and put it on the quarantine tank that way I don't have to cycle anything. Media and bacteria are already there.

You might want to see if you can find a local pond to take the koi when spring comes. They get about 2ft. Mine are already about 18 inches. They really do thrive in ponds. They get so big and beautiful. And those cute little barbels! ^-^

you could get a whisper + a AC and customize the whisper with an aquaclear sponge
