So I was sitting at m desk, minding my own business, when I hear this small splashing noise. I look and my platy is half jumping out of the water in the tank. Meanwhile, the other female is swimming vertically up and down. They're not doing it anymore, but I've never seen anything like it. Is it some sort of mating display for the male, or are they just worked up over something? Nothing has changed tank-wise.
If they keep doing it check your water parameters otherwise it just might have been over excitement on their part, the swimming up and down is pretty normal but the out of water is a bit strange for platys
There's supposed to be some pretty bad storms tonight. Maybe they sense it?
