All my water parameters are good. I just did a small pwc earlier today. The angel is very tiny, one inch maybe. I have her/him in my established 10 gallon with a very tiny BGK (2-3 inches) while my 46 gallon cycles (and yes, a tank large enough for them in adulthood is in the works). The little fella is being whooshed around by my filter current and seems to be very weak. It's having a hard time staying upright as well. I moved him to a small tank with a heater and bubble stone for the moment, just so he doesn't get suck to the filter and injured further. I did add some melafix to the tank with the water change because of some slight tatters on it's tail fin. Other than that it looked good, no signs of parasites or fungus. I'm thinking he was sensitive to the treatment. What can I do now?

I'd keep it isolated in the smaller tank for now. Just keep the water super clean and keep an eye on it for any signs of illness. Without knowing the exact cause, it's hard to know what to do here.

How long have you had the fish? Did you just purchase it?

I'm thinking I just bought it a couple of weeks ago. I haven't had it long.

Sorry about your fish :( It could have had a pre-existing condition that was just showing itself.

I'd keep an eye on the rest of the tank in the meantime.

Will do, thanks. The knife fish seems okay. I wont be replacing my angel anytime soon, as people here have said that they need to have 4 or more others with them. I have a large tank in the works, but I will wait until it's ready for fish.
