Our fish experience started last September when my son brought home a school project consisting of two mosquito fish in a 2 liter bottle ecosystem. After two months sitting in the kitchen window they moved to a 2.5 g Eclipse and we got a 28 gallon for Christmas. It's all set up and cycled now and those two little mosquito fish are still with us. For quite a while we were calling one Miss Piggy and the other Kermit because she was huge and fat and he stayed small. The other day we noticed that Miss Piggy was all of a sudden skinny again. We were sad thinking that all of the babies had probably been eaten by the other fish in the tank. But no, it looks like one has survived and is hiding in my floating hornwart in the very top corner of the tank. It's just 4 or 5 mm long right now. I hope it survives. We got some first food powdery stuff and I put it in right next to him (right after feeding everyone else at the other end of the tank) and he eats it. How often will he need to be fed as we are feeding everyone else once every 1-2 days?
