Water Spills & Doggi Pads
I think it has happen to most of us. It usually occurs when disconnecting water lines from our pumps or cannisters and we forget to shut off a water line; especially the dual shutoffs from "Marineland". So after the cleanup, the water has already penetrated the thin flooring of the cabinet and makes it subject to warping. To avoid further damage from my forgetfulness, I have place Doggi Pads under my pumps to catch any future spill. These work well as long as you are there to stop the spill immediantly after it happens. Thought this idea might work well for others.

Unfortunately i had a lovely fountain at home a few weeks ago. Finished cleaning a fluval 205 cannister and re attaching the hoses , pushed down on the locking clip and heard a snapping sound, payed no attention to it and switched it back on. The snapping sound was the clip breaking and it then shot out with the pump switched on and i lost maybe 40 litres of water by the time i got to it! I wont do that again!!
