Like jeaninel said, you'll probably need to do 25% water changes about daily, depending on what your tests read. I have a 50 gallon, not planted and I do about a 50% every 2 weeks.

Yes, there is a big difference between water changes during cycling and regular water changes in an established tank. During cycling the ammonia and nitrite test governs how often a water change is needed. Once the tank is cycled, a regular weekly water change is strongly recommended. The volume can vary depending upon several factors as others have mentioned, but doing 40-50% weekly will certainly not hurt your fish regardless of the factors.

And, welcome to Tropical Fish Keeping forum.

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If you’re going to take it under your wing then you’re responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]
