Water change question

Ok when I do my weekly water changes I usually use tap water and condition it with some aquasafe and then add it to the tank after a few hours. My question is...will this be sufficiant?

I was toying with the idea of buying distilled water for my water changes but I can't seem to get a clear answer wheather or not that would work.

Also I have reasearched RO/DI equipment and I'll just say thats not a plausable or possible idea right now.

Any replys would be appreciated.

As long as you tap water parameters are ok, your fine. Some people have well water or their tap water has high ph but if all of your parameters make your fish happy then there's no reason to take it a step further. I was looking at a tap water filter only because the gh in my tap was high...otherwise I condition it before putting in the tank.
