waste control

ok so that waste control stuff that you can buy and put into your tank is it any good or is it not worth buying?

testing kits

any recomendations on testing kits I really dont want to spend 25 to 30 bucks on one.

The only waste control is WC and vacuuming. That nutriban stuff is actually more harmful for your tank then good.
As far as test kits go, you can't go wrong with API
