Nice on the new babies!

I wouldnt leave the female in the tank too long, she hasnt eaten for some time and may see the fry as free food. If she is taking food again, I would put her back in to the main after only a few days, week at most.

If she is eating properly then within a few days, I would say no longer than a week.

You might want to just keep an eye on her and remove her if she starts going after the fry.

i have noticed that she protects the fry if she feels they are in danger and scoops them back into her mouth. but i will watch her closely

well its been 4 days since she had the fry. you think it would be a good idea to put her back in the main tank now? she has been eating food.

If she has been eating she might be good to go back now. You can give it a couple days though if you want to but watch her closely. ( btw i just saw your pics with the fry.. Omg so cute!)
