I do water and gravel syphons once a week. After about 3 or 4 the bottom is pretty gross with fish waste. Besides scooping it out with a net is there anything I can to limit this?

Are you talking about your 75 gallon with Oscars and Pleco in it? Those are some messy fish. Maybe try gravel vacuuming twice a week.

150 Gallon - Mostly American Cichlids
135 Gallon - Angelfish Community
75 Gallon - Odd couple (Polleni/Angelfish)
55 Gallon - African tank
20 Gallon Long - QT
10 Gallon - Empty

This is why my goldfish tanks are barebottom with plants kept in containers.
