Sorry for bring up old posts, but I have a question. Why is a leaning tank so bad? If the tank is flat on the stand, but the stand leans due to an uneven ground is that a problem? My 2 10 gal tanks lean, but they are flat on the stands that hold them. The stands are leaning because I have them on carpeting. Do I have a problem?
in a ten gallon tank i doubt it will make a huge difference, however on bigger tanks it does put a lot of strain on one side of the silicone seals which in time will cause a leak. But it all depends on how much its leaning. Most floors lean one way or another due to settlement so i doubt you are on your own with this. If one side of the tank looks full and the other is only walf way up . . . . then you have a problem lol
So id like to thank everyone for their help. I took a little bit from everybody and ran into no issues and now my tank is just about perfect. I used plastic shims as suggested. I would have took photos but that was one extra thing I didn't want to do while doing this delicate process.
