umm little worms?

So I saw a little tiny super skinny worm swimming through the water in my aquarium. It was swimming like a snake was as thin as a hair and about a half an inch long and white. Anyone know what it is and is it going to be a threat if there are more?

Ok. So how are they introduced? Since they are a symptom of overfeeding do they sprout from the uneaten food or what?

They can come from your fish you add to your tank or if you have live plants? They could also be from live food as well. Some how they got into your tank. I guess from what i read they are sensitive to chlorine so if you do a 10% untreated water change it should kill them off. When acclimating your fish to your aquarium I let them get adjusted to the temp and ph of the water from my tank in there bags then net them out so i dont get stuff from the stores aquarium into mine. I know allot of people who just dump the whole bag into there tank. bad bad ju ju! Good luck!
