Never said you could not make one, but the two that I have, XP3's, did not come with any flow control.
If less flow was my aim,,I would just use smaller GPH filter.

The most important medication in your fish medicine cabinet is.. Clean water.

They aren't made - they are factory Rena Filstar XP flow control valves.

125 - BGK, chanchito cichlid, pictus cats, silver dollars, palmas bichir
125 - cichlids (severums, bolivian rams, chocolate), rainbows ( turquoise, red), loaches (angelicus, zebra, kuhli and horseface), plecos (BN, RL and clown), denison barbs, tiretrack eel, pearl gouramis, betta
90 - Congo tetras, african knife, upside down cats, spotted ctenopoma, kribensis, delhezzi bichir
2.5 - betta

Mine did not either. Could be a result of being API now.

Maybe I should of been more specific though by flow control. I want a spray bar setup, that way there isn't a single strong jet, rather several weaker jets yet still the same GPH.

As is, if my Angelfish go to the outlet side, they start swimming at a 45 degree list

But they must like it for spawning, as they've already spawned less than 24 hours after putting it in...

After some googling,,it seem's some are now equipped with flow control.
But as stated,,the two I have did not come with this.
They were on sale at Big Al's for $ 130.00 for the XP3, so I bought two.
