well my sister was throwing out some of those little triop crestasians that grow in like a day and only live a few weeks and then i was thinking, everyone feeds there fish little brine shrimp do you think it would hurt to feed them little triops? please comment back on this im really excited to hear yes or no.
i most definatly will :D but right now my 10 gallon molly breeding tank is cycling and i still need to buy a few more things for it and the triops. now im not sure if it will work since it says they need distilled water to grow and the fish tank water isnt distilled, but ill scoop some out and try to grow them in a jar the first time.
Triops won't hatch in anything but distilled water, at least in my experience. They live in desert puddles, and won't hatch if there are signs of any other life in their puddle, so they won't get eaten. If you're going to breed them, you can wait for your first batch to lay eggs, then when they die off (or you pick them out to feed to fish) you can let the water they're in evaporate out. The eggs should stick to the walls of the tank, and you can collect them to start over. They're neat little critters.
