The Transformation Has Began

When I bought the tank, it came with some plastic plants, dragon and a castle. I went ahead and dropped that stuff in but never liked it. So I picked up some driftwood that has been soaking for about a week now. The water is now pretty clear, so I dropped it in the tank last night. I also took out the castle and put in some slate rock formations. I tried to put the slate together to give some hiding areas and cave-like formations. I didnt really have any other thoughts/plans so I just started dropping in rocks and heres what I came up with. If anyone has any other ideas on arragements, please let me know. I still have a few larger pieces of slate that I wanted to put in, but just couldnt figure out a way to place them. Anyway, heres are the before and after pics. The water is still pretty cloudy, not sure what to do about that, but here ya go:

Original Setup

New Setup

Left Side Slate Formation with hiding places

Right side slate formation with shelves and hiding spots

One of the Banded Gourami

Steal away my friend, steal away. I wasnt too sure how it would turn out, but I am happy with it overall. I just started dropping rocks in there and thats what I ended up with. The one on the left has a large flat base with three colums supporting the top piece and a few random pieces on top to break it up some. The one on the right just has two colums supporting a large

I wasnt too sure how it would turn out, but i like it overall. The one on the left has a large flat slate base with three colums supporting a large flat top piece with a couple of random pieces on top to break it up. The one on the right has three colums sitting right on the substrate with a large flat piece making a shelf. On top of that there are two more colums with another flat piece making the top and again a few random pieces on top to break up the flatness. The Gourami like to sometimes hide out in the right side lower hideout

Thakns for the comments

Looks like the double post monster got me again. I have got to get a new router soon. Can one of the mods please delete post number 4.

Im not sure if it was just timing, something with one of the decorations that I took out or the addition of the rock and driftwood, but my tank was crystal clear this morning. That tank has been pretty cloudy since day one and after putting in the rock and wood it got so cloudy you could barely see through to the back. But this morning it had cleared up finally. Not sure what the fix was but im sure glad it cleared up.
