A goldfish bowl should do fine.

haha, too bad it's fake. I don't think that guy could hold a fish that heavy like that.

If we go by beta people standards a 55 gallon should do fine.

It's way too unnatural looking, plus goldfish don't have whiskers do they? xD
And hey now I'm a betta person, the only place for a fish like that is a dinner plate. xD

That's actually a koi; you can tell by the presence of barbels and the dorsal fin. Goldfish don't get that big. That thing looks about as big as I am.

I'm a betta person and a goldfish person. The only place for a monster like that is a natural lake. They just don't make koi ponds large enough for him.

I found one website saying the carp was caught in a lake in France and weighted about 30lbs.

It IS real?! D: Wow, everyone must be stunting their koi if that's what happens in a lake!

Are you saying that 30lb is big? I catch 45 pound carp at my local reservoir. They are HUGE.

EDIT- Wait, sorry, I thought you were saying common carp and not that specific one in the picture. Oops!

I can't speak to whether or not it's photoshopped, but I can tell you that fishbase lists 44 inches as the longest recorded carp, but it takes a long time for fish to reach these sizes. A more typical carp or koi will reach around 12 inches. A good sized pond koi will be about 24 inches. Some of the prize koi even get around 30 inches long, but this is with champion feed and pristine water.

EDIT: Here is a picture of a 26" koi being sold online for a few thousand dollars. But she's a beautiful fish. Click on the picture to see more info including a video of this monster moving.
