Tank decoration.?

Fish tanks always make a beautiful interior decoration in home. My friend recently purchased a 50 gal freshwater aquarium and he wants to add some fabulous decor stuff inside of the tank to enhance the overall look. Want to know your favorite stores to buy beautiful and safe tank decor at affordable prices.
Well, we are planning to shop at our local Petco store this weekend to check out some decor stuff.

Any recommendation.!

My fav decor: Live plants, plant and more plants. Make it a mini green house with fish that really sticks out.

Angel you should put all of your plant tips and techniques in a thread i would love to read it!! i tried a few plants with limited to no success and would love to learn more about how to do it right..... but for those of us who are not blessed with the green thumb....... PLASTIC!!!!!! i made alot of plants from bits and pieces found at craft or dollar stores and they look pretty good.. not as many benifits as live granted but they look nice

I've always been fond of trying to recreate a part of the local aquatic environment wherever I'm at. Interesting topics for discussion at social gatherings when people see whats living around them which they may not have been aware of. I guess they are calling those "biotopes" nowadays. I also vote for plants and more plants, and a balanced ecosystem approach. Good luck and have fun shopping.
