Question Strange fungus growing in fishless tank?

My 10 gallon is still fishlessly cycling, but has been running for about 3 weeks now.

The other day I noticed a small cluster of little "dots" on just one tank ornament. They're too small to pick up on my camera. They are brownish white and a little fuzzy, and are extremely tiny and slightly raised. They ONLY appear wherever there is shade on the ornament.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Like I said, they wouldn't show up on my camera so no picture. =/

my tank has the same thing in it.don't seem to hurt the fish.maybe if you added shrimps and an algae eater it will help clean the tank of it.
