Stocking Suggestions

Greetings,

I have a 20g high tank that I have recently stocked with some fish. Currently, I have 3 Cherry Barbs, 4 Zebra Danios, 2 Black Molly and 1 Bristlenose Pleco. From what I read on Aqadvisor, this is close to full, but I was curious if I could add another Danio and Barb to make them happier schools. What happens if the tank is overstocked? I change about 30% of the water every week currently.

Overstocking the tank will cause it to implode on itself, creating a mini black hole. :) Or nothing could happen. Aqadvisor is great and all, but it's extremely conservative in its stocking recommendations. You can absolutely add more barbs and danios. Were it my tank, I would double them.

In all seriousness, there are different types of "overstocking". What you would be doing is not the dangerous type. I would argue that you aren't overstocked even doubling the school sizes.
