i recently bought and "internal" termometer that sticks to the inside of the tank.....it reads between 80-81 deg. f...i do not have a heater in my tank how would i go about cooling it down??

yeah i was actually on there today and there are some real steals on there..but i would rather get good hold on keeping a smaller tank before i start getting bigger....i've only had this tank a month and i dont want to put anyone life indanger!!!

sounds like you like to keep your house 80 deg+ or that thermometer is way off.

i do keep my house at 80....electricity cost in florida are crazy high!! lots of ceiling fans and a/c set at 78....temp in the house is usually anywhere from 80-84.....doesn't feellike iti to us or my 4 legged pets but all the termometers in the house say so...

well if that is the case i wouldnt worry about it untill you upgrade to a larger aquarium and use a sump with a cooling chamber. not really a easy way to lower it now unless you do w/c every so many hrs lol.,

lol.....hourly water changes....i'll pencil them in....lol......for the moment i am doing daily 10% changs to help get my numbers down.....thank for all your help moneymitch
