I have two tanks that will be done cycling soon, by the weekend, and I'm struggling with what to stick them with and where to get it, store or online. I'm looking for fish that are a little more unique or less common. I hate getting the run of the mill whenever I'm buying anything. So I'm looking for ideas on what would work for my two tanks, they are both rectangle shapes. I thought I'd ask this group to see if anyone had some good suggestions. Thanks in advance!
Blackwater tanks FTW.... Look at fish that thrive in the blackwater enviroment, and maybe go biotope specific? like a SE asia biotope, a wild betta (pair), rasboras (b.maculata is a fav, but all the the micro rasboras are amazing - and some kuhlies at the bottom. That group will easly fit in the 35g.
AS for the 60, rams, some tetras (splash tetras would be interesting, hatchets, pencil fish (these guys are amazing) or some of more uncommon tetras), cories (many species there, red lazers or black cories would be interesting... even pygmy cories?) and some otos or even some of the slgihtly rarer plecos....
What are blackwater tanks? I've not heard of that before?
