So I am moving....Oct 1st

My family and will be moving to a new house. I am not sure the best way to move my aquarium would be, can someone help?

I have a 75 Gal acrylic tank with nothing fancy inside, just a filter, heater, and some fake plants.

Inside we have 11 neon tetras, one algae eater and one betta. They all live happily together and I want the move to be as least stressful as possible.

Thanks in advance!
God Bless!

soak heater, filter and fake plants in 1 bucket and the fish in the other. use and air stone for both buckets one to keep the fish alive the other to keep the bacteria in the filter alive.

Thanks for the advice so far, I am not sure how far we are moving yet. just staying in the same town. But things have changed now. due to my dad's unemployment, we may not be able to get a house big enough, so everything is going into storage, including the tank. so.... I will see today if my local fish store will take my fish for me, and I will clean/empty my tank and store it. I will just start over again later.

Thanks all!

Thank you, I was sad to see them go, even tho they were fairly new to the tank, but my algae eater wasn't, he was getting big, and I wanted to watch him grow up more! I got him when he was 1 1/2 inches, and he is 4 1/2 inches now. Bummer.

my local fish store took them for me. the tank is emptied. The gravel is drying out. Everything was old, and I could never get the water levels right. So when I start up net time, I won't rush it, and I will come here and get step by step instructions.

Thank you again!

Thanks Kitten...Moving has been put off until Nov 1st, but my tank is already empty, it is very sad, I no longer hear the running water from the filter first thing in the morning

I had my dad at the pet store the other day telling him to start picking out what he would like to see in the tank for next time.

well if you want you could start a tank without gravel they tend to be less problematic then gravel tanks.
