Sadly returning it would be a bad idea after introducing it to our tank bred fish.
It could be carrying something, even something we don't notice in tank fish because they are immune to it, and introduce it to a whole population of wild fish. Which would be bad for the environment. It's important to think of it all as a whole..
I did suggest a native minnow tank, bringing in more, which I think would be cool.

taking a break from fish-keeping.
3 lovely male betta still keep me company.

Haha nah I'm not interested in having a minnow tank.
Heading down to the shop now to ask why they sold me non-aquatic plants and ask for a refund. Also to get lists of plants from all the shops near my place so I can research what is good and what isn't good.
The Java Moss I want to stay on/near the driftwood, with a combination of grass and some lower-growing groundcover
