Snail vs Live plants?
Hey guys. Will snails eat live plants? I have a 10 gallon with a light coating of algae (not enough to be seen unless you're up close), and I'd like to add a snail to perhaps eat the excess food and clean up my glass. I'm wondering, though, if this would put my live plants in danger.
I have a few Argentine Swords and one Java Fern...
Tank residents are 5 corys (Julii) and a betta.
If the snail is a bad idea, is there another creature that might work for the purposes I've listed? Otherwise I guess I'll just remove the algae manually.
