A snail is on the side of my tank....I never bought a snail. Should i kill him or let him live? Will he cause harm to my fish, and through off my tank?
Prop came in with plants you bought.
No I'd not kill it, they are very beneficial lil helpers that help to keep your tank clean. And no they will not harm you fish (depending on what fish you have the fish may eat it thou).
Same thing happened to me as I'm sure to a lot of fishkeepers out there. They will multiply quickly though so you gotta watch out... my tank's already got 10+ in there and I've only had it for 3 months!
I doubt it will do any harm, as long as there is only one so they can’t breed. I found a tiny snail in my tank (they must have scooped him up with the fish) and he doesn’t cause any problems. He just glides around and cleans. How big is the snail?
