Is there some thing i can buy at the hardware store to mimic amazon rainfall during water changes that i can just put the water into and walk away? could i use PVC with 16th inch holes drilled at various angles? I used a nozzle with "gentle rain" setting today during a water change and the fish enjoyed it, it also let me "sweep" under the logs and stuff, pushing detritus to a more accessible area of the tank. Since i have a sand bottom, the "gentle" needs to be emphasized here.
A few members have mentioned that slightly cooler water simulates a rain, which promotes spawning... are fish sensitive to sounds or water motion as well?
Also, the plants getting hit with gentle water seems to brighten them up, as well, maybe taking off some of the stuff that settles on them over the course of time?
